Williams, James David "Jim"
Jim was born in Lincoln, Alabama in 1941 to a poor family. He grew up along the banks of Blue Eye Creek as a keen observer of natural processes. He was also good at football. With a college scholarship, Jim excelled in Botany, Zoology, and Ichthyology. Out of college, Jim found work with the Endangered Species Office within the US Fish and Wildlife Service. In May-June of 1976, Jim rafted the Grand Canyon looking for Humpback Chub. This 6-part interview has not been transcribed yet.
