Weisheit, John
John recounts growing up in Phoenix and then swamping river trips in Grand Canyon with Georgie White in the 1980s. John became interested in Colorado River History as he did river trips for the Bureau of Reclamation Glen Canyon Environmental Impact studies of the late 1980s and early 1990s. John was luck to call David Brower both a friend and a mentor. Wheeler, Bob
When he was 13 in the Boy Scouts, Bob canoe camped a section of the Delaware River. After college, Bob moved to Pocatello and made more canoe runs on whitewater rivers. In 1984 Bob canoed the Grand Canyon.​ This is a two-part interview.

Williams, James David "Jim" 
Jim was born in Lincoln, Alabama in 1941 to a poor family. He grew up along the banks of Blue Eye Creek as a keen observer of natural processes. He was also good at football. With a college scholarship, Jim excelled in Botany, Zoology, and Ichthyology. Out of college, Jim found work with the Endangered Species Office within the US Fish and Wildlife Service. In May-June of 1976, Jim rafted the Grand Canyon looking for Humpback Chub. This 6-part interview has not been transcribed yet.

Williams, Guy 
Guy was born in 1946. He recounts growing up in Flagstaff. In 1959, Gene Foster offered Guy a chance to participate in an archeological survey on the Colorado River in Glen Canyon. Guy said yes…     Transcript

Wilson, Bruce 
Bruce was 12 years old when he started out on a 1942 Grand Canyon river trip. His dad Neill was there, along with Norm Nevills and Otis “Dock” Marston. His 13th birthday was on the river and the group celebrated at Phantom Ranch with a birthday cake. He liked river running and participated on 1946 Main Salmon and Hells Canyon of the Snake River trips with his father, Nevills, and Marston. Wolfskill, Sam
Born in 1935, Sam completed his Masters degree in Forestry in 1959. He joined the US Forest Service and in 1963 was transferred to the North Kaibab. He was soon friends with NPS Ranger John Riffey and Superintendent Merle Stitt. Transcript

Wurgler, ​Dr. Jim (June 28, 1933 - November 13, 2019) and Jodi
​
Jim was born in Wyoming in 1933. He grew up in Texas. Jim recounts his service in Vietnam and running the Yosemite Clinic. He was working there during the Yosemite riots. Jim took over the operations of the Grand Canyon Clinic, and worked in the Clinic in Williams, Arizona.
