Ladd, Gary
Gary had his own simple camera when he was eight-years-old and quickly advanced past a twin lens reflex to a 35 mm camera. In the 1960's while at Central Methodist College at Fayette, Missouri, Gary started taking photographs while caving. He traveled west and joined a Grand Canyon river trip in 1970. In 1972, he started work at Kit Peak National Observatory and in 1982 he moved to Page, AZ. This interview Series has yet to be transcribed.

Born in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1950, Mark's dad moved the family south and landed a job engineering the phone line to go to the Glen Canyon damsite. Litton, Esther
Esther was born in Los Angeles in 1919. Her grandparents were from Mexico. She met Martin Litton in college and they were soon married. They stayed in the El Tovar Hotel during their honeymoon. They were able to stay together when Martin was stateside and in the Service during WWII. Esther recounts her teaching, world travel, running Grand Canyon Dories and the environmental activism, she and her husband undertook.
