Born in 1950, Scott called downtown Sacramento home as a child. Scott got into caving in High School, and then river running on the Stanislaus River. After his first year of college, Scott attended an American River Touring Association (ARTA) “Guide School.” This led him to guide trips for ARTA and then for The Museum of Northern Arizona in the Grand Canyon. Ingram, Jeff
In this three part interview, Jeff recounts being hired by David Brower to be the first Soutwest Director of the Sierra Club. Jeff went right to work and with others, stopped the Marble Canyon Dam from being constructed in the mid 1960s. In his position with the Club, Jeff worked with John McComb and others on a bill to enlarge Grand Canyon National Park.
