Gebler, Donna (July 3, 1933 - March 7, 2023)
In 1957 Donna married National Park Naturalist Chuck Gebler in Virginia. He was transferred to the Albright Training Center at Yosemite in 1961. The Center was transferred to Grand Canyon National Park in 1962. Chuck was promoted to Director of the Mather Training Center at Harpers Ferry, Virginia. He died of cancer in 1983. Donne received a Masters Degree in social work. directed two women's shelters and then spent 18 months teaching English in Vietnam. Donna passed away in 2023. This is a four part interview. Pat grew up in northern California and eastern Oregon spending a lot of her time out of doors. When she was 15, her parents hiked her and her two little sisters into Havasu in 1970, Pat graduated from college with a degree in recreation planning. She started volunteering at Canyonlands National Park in 1977. She became a river ranger, went to the Federal Law Enforcement Academy, and worked at many National Parks, including working at a Law Enforcement Ranger at Phantom Ranch.

Green, Nancy (1955 - March 20, 2022) and Keith (1947- May 25, 2024)
Responding to a job announcement for washing dishes at the Bright Angel Lodge brought Keith to the South Rim in 1971. He was legally blind but ended up working at Phantom Ranch. Keith met Nancy in 1981 and the two became a couple that spent the rest of their working lives at Grand Canyon. Antoinette Beiser and Don Lago assisted in conducting this 22 part interview series. This series has not been transcribed yet.
