Duane participated in a 1956 river trip that went from Phantom Ranch to Lake Mead. Duane's group ran the river in three paddleboats. Two of the paddleboats made the first recorded good run of Lava Falls by paddleboat. The third boat flipped in the rapid, also a first. Transcript

Endischee, Dennis
Dennis was raised in Monument Valley and went to high school in Tuba City. He joined the apprenticeship program at the Ironworkers Local #75 in Phoenix in 1979. His career in Ironworking took him to Chicago, then on to the Four Corners Power Plant, followed by various jobs in Phoenix. When he heard about the Second Navajo Bridge job, Dennis got a job as a rigger. His son, a second generation ironworker, has made his father proud. Transcript
