Frank was born in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1942. He graduated from Arizona State University in 1966 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Frank hired on with the Bureau of Reclamation's Central Arizona Project. His first overnight backpack in the Grand Grand Canyon was in 1961. This is a six part interview and has not been transcribed yet..

After High School, Stan spent two years on his Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Mission, then served two years in the Army during the Korean War. He earned a PhD in geology and moved to Flagstaff in 1962 to teach geology at today's Northern Arizona University. This is a 4 part interview.

Miles Burd and Daryl Strong recount flying helicopters for the US Air Force out of Luke Air Force Base. They were first on the ground at the TWA-United mid-air collision in June, 1956. They also flew to the village of Supai, and helped prevent frost damage for the orchards around the Base in Phoenix.

Nicknamed Muffin by her older sister, Muffin grew up in Alexandria, Virginia. Interested in geology and earth sciences in grade school, Muffin went to Brown University and graduated in 1967 with a degree in Geosciences. A summer internship with the Museum of Northern Arizona that year led to further studies at the University of Arizona. In September of 1970, Muffin joined Dr. Robert Euler and others in an excavation in Stantons Cave on the Colorado River in Marble Canyon. This is a 7 part interview.

The Burnham-Marusich Family
In July, 2024 and accompanied by close friends, Amanda Burnham-Marusich, her husband Macy Burnham, and their two children, Azalea and Wylie, and were on a do-it-yourself river trip that went the full 280 miles through the Grand Canyon from Lees Ferry, AZ to Pearce Ferry, AZ. Ten-year-old Azalea and eight-year-old Wylie set a new record as the youngest girl and boy to kayak this entire distance.
